THE TROLLEY BARN, C. 1897

In 2016, investors within Historic Tax Credit Initiative assisted the American College of the Buildings Arts (ACBA) in the historic rehabilitation of a c. 1897 abandoned trolley barn in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.

Today, the newly-rehabilitated building houses the main classrooms and workspace for the ACBA, the only college in the country to offer an Associate and Bachelor of Applied Science degree in the Building Arts.

Through its investment in the revitalization of the trolley barn, Historic Tax Credit Initiative remains loyal to its mission of providing non-profit organizations with the financial means to restore and reuse structures of community significance.
